Wolf Guitar W400 pre-ordered with the idea that its a quick project upgrade.

Pre-ordered a Wolf Guitar model W400.  Its a PRS copy that is an upgrade from their previous prs copy model because it has a bone nut and a rosewood fretboard.  Checking out their website it looks like the w400 also features a bridge and tail piece instead of just a tailpiece as the previous model(w200).

My plan is to replace out the hardware and see if it will replace the epiphone les paul plus top that doesn't excite me too much.

On the checklist of replacements:
  • Grover tuners replaced out for locking tuners, Gotoh-delta.
  • bridge and potmetal insert replaced out for nashville bridge with steel insert and brass wheel
  • tailpiece and potmetal insert replaced with aluminum tailpiece and steel insert
  • wiring harness replaced with upgraded parts, configuration to have coil splitting on neck
  • pickups replaced with Seymour Duncans' Pearly Gates at neck and Custom 8 for bridge.
  • gold finish replaced out by nickel finish parts
Guitar arrives end of June.   Will document project as it moves along.  All the parts have already arrived 2 years ago for the epi.  It just never felt really good in my hands.  Probably shouldn't order guitars online because "how do you know if it works until its in your hands and its being played?"

Hope this guitar is much better than a chibson and not just something to look at.  " Unknown brand, cheap price, what could go wrong?"
